Edit Blogger HTML On Mobile

Want to edit the HTML template which is the source code that controls the appearance of your blog. Are you having issues editing the HTML code on mobile? Then this guide has been written for you.

There are many ways of customizing a blog template. One of the many ways is by editing the HTML code of your blog. While it's easy editing an HTML code on a desktop - the same cannot be said when using a smartphone. This article will show how to edit the HTML code on a mobile phone.


For Desktop users, you simply have to edit your HTML by;

1. Signing in to your blogger account.

2. Open your blog dashboard.

3. From the menu, click template.

4.Select 'Edit HTML'.

5. Make changes.

6.Save.

It's that easy for desktop users but very irritating for most smartphone users. Most often, the browser crashes while in the process. If you've had such an experience, you most certainly know what I'm trying to say.


Well, those days are over now. You can now edit the HTML code on a smartphone by simply downloading an app. But before we proceed, I suggest you should first back up your template. Back it up so you can restore it just in case the result was unexpected.

To back up your template;

1. Log in to blogger.

2. Open your blog dashboard.

3. From the menu, click template.

4. Select back up / restore.

5. Click the 'Download' full template button.


Edit HTML On Mobile

1. Open Google Play.

2. Search for 'XML Editor' by NextMake.

3. Install the app.

4. Edit your HTML.

I recommend 'XML Editor' by NextMake because it is easy to use and friendly to newbies. Be patient while using it. Don't rush!

You can install its alternatives if you feel it's time consuming.

If you're done editing the HTML , verify it in the app. If it reads 'valid XML', then you can upload it to blogger.

To enable the mobile version of your edited template;

1. Log in to blogger.

2. Open the blog dashboard.

2. From the menu, click template.

4. Select the gear icon below the mobile template.

5. Change from 'default' to 'custom'.

6. Save.
